Video Conference

Principal venue

Victoria University of Wellington will provide an environment where delegates, speakers, and sponsors can meet in a traditional conference environment.

Initial tickets sales for Wellington face to face will be limited to 80 to ensure a safe environment for all. Delegates who attend the FLANZ 2021 Conference in Wellington will enjoy catering, complimentary hot beverages, and plenty of space as it is semester break.

Satellite venues

Satellite venues provide an opportunity for delegates and speakers to engage face to face without the challenge of long distance travel. Satellite venues are expected to have speakers present and will be connected live during open plenary sessions. Each satellite will have two rooms so delegates can choose which conference stream they attend.

Bookings will open in February. If you have an interest in attending a satellite please check that question in your registration and we will remind you when bookings are open for satellite venues.

Satellite venues will not have an additional cost. Food and drink will be available from the catering venues on campus, this will be the delegates' cost. Details will be provided when bookings open.

Online experience

The online environment will include open plenary sessions at the beginning of each day. Here we will be networked with the satellite venues, set the scene for our inquiry and listen to our keynote speakers.

All sessions will have a managed live online engagement space where delegates can pose questions. All sessions will be recorded and made available to delegates following the conference. Streams will ensure a jam-packed programme that includes opportunities to meet with our sponsors, view and engage with poster presentations and have delegates asking themselves 'what should I see live and what should I save for later'.

Delegates will be provided with access passcodes and instructions ahead of the Conference and will have opportunities to test their access ahead of the Conference itself.

The online component of the FLANZ 2021 Conference changes the way we interact, and expands our access to the presentations we might have otherwise missed at a traditional conference.
